Pattern dot dot dot
Unless stated otherwise, all general meetings are held on the third Wednesday of each month from September to June, at 7:30 p.m. Beth Emeth Bais Yehuda, 100 Elder Street. New for 2018/2019, join us for our joint Thursday afternoon Creative Drop In with Beth Emeth Bais Yehuda. For more information contact us or email programming@pomegranateguild.ca After our celebratory 36th, what does the Pomegranate’s 2018/19 season hold in store? More great monthly program nights, more intriguing techniques to explore, more inspiring artists to meet, more outreach opportunities and more special events, in other words, more of the same! The precedent is set, so let’s repeat the fabulous. Our theme this year is PATTERN dot, dot, dot. Which from a textile point of view covers a lot, so we added the dot, dot, dot. Our program will include hands on pattern making in 2 and 3-D with guest instructors; members sharing their particular skills; and a pattern challenge. Does history repeat?__________________________________________________

Fun, fast, pattern making as a team sport.
Working together with simple tools and supplies we will make pattern yardage to share.
Bring along an item that can be used to make a mark, for example; a discarded cork or sponge to stamp with; a piece of highly textured cardboard or doily to print through (stencil); an interestingly shaped shell or utensil to colour around.
We will play with the ideas of ‘mark-making’ and pattern types to collectively create some patterned fabric samples.
Each participant will receive a portion of the cloth at our February meeting.
